Can anyone please check on the 1911 census please.i have a Benjamin Dunn married to Harriet Copley born Sheffield.children was Frank Copley-Dunn born 1912 sheffield who is my grandfather by marriage.Gladys Dunn born 1914 Sheffield,Florence 1916 Sheffield Elizabeth 1918 Sheffield,on the free bmd there is a Thomas Dunn born Sheffield 1913 with Dunn and Copley as parents can this be another child of Benjamin and Harriet.will be greatfull if anyone can help please.thankyou Janette

Hi Lindsey thankyou for your help i think that Arthur ,Sarah,Willie,albert and Benjamin might be to Harriet and Arthur,Ellen and Ann might be to his first wife Sarah Jane Atkin.

On the 1911 image , crossed out he says married 12 years 7 children 6 living

Thanks again.it looks like Harriet had a few children out of wed lock then,as she got married in 1913.

I found the death for Sarah Atkin as 1909, so Arthur,Sarah,Willie,Albert,and Benjamin must belong to Benjamin and Sarah.is that right?

Why do you think that Harriet had several children out of wedlock? The only one would seem to be Fred. I assume you have his birth certificate telling you who the father is? Is this his birth ?

Yes, he says 7 children 6 living then crossed it out.

Yes that is Frank Copley-Dunn Birth he married Edith Flower my granmother inlaw

So even though she is pregnant at the census he describes her as Servant and doesn't get round to marrying until just before Thomas is born !

What certificates have you got Janette? Have you got the marriage certificate and birth certificate of Frank? I see that on the marriage reference to Edith flower in 1935 he is Frank C Dunn. Does the marriage certificate give his fathers name?

Hi Lyndsey you have Annie Dunn Niece living with Atkin family do you think that William Atkin is Sarah Atkins brother,so Annie Dunn the niece is living with her grand mother.

I have tracked backwards and this seems to be Harriett in 1881. By 1891 her father has died -

There is no birth in Sheffield but I think this may be the one as Ecclesall Bierlow is the right one for where they are living -
