Find Ancestors

Hi all, I'm trying, without success, to find the name's of my great grandparents, parents. My nan was Elizabeth Edwards, her dad was Henry Edwards, but it's his parents I would like to find. His dad's name was Arthur but what was his wife's name and maiden name? I think they where from the Liverpool area. I would appreciate any help. Kind regards.

Where did you get the name of Henry father as Arthur ??

I have a copy of Henry Edwards marriage cert. Sept 27th, I think it's 1896. Although the name is not clear it looks like Arthur. It states that he was deceased. Henry married in Bootle Liverpool.

What occupation did Arthur and Henry have and what was the address at time of marriage.
Did he marry alice Ashcroft?

Yes, he married Mary Alice Ashcroft.

If you can find Henry and wife Alice on 1901 census, it will say where Henry was born.
At present I can only find this one with father Arthur in 1881, but not Lancashire.
