I have a WILLIAM EVANS bn 1821 in Manchester. He married a Caroline Jones of Denbeigh, Wales bn 1829 , at Manchester Cathedral on 19th March 1849' Children are --- Elizabeth, John, Joseph, Robert and Thomas [BORN 1850] William Evans was a mechanic in the weaving industry we believe. Children employed variously in textile manufacturing/app. mechanics. 1881 census shows them living at 169 Every Street, MANCHESTER. I am seeking any further information regarding this family, including details of William's parents. [I think these may be a Thomas Evans 1791 from Salford Lancsashire, and Sarah Anderson bn 1796 - and married at Manchester Cathedral 20/11/1817 [but so far not confirmed to my satisfaction. ] CAN ANYONE HELP? perhaps there are more relatives out there with informatioN? |
