His parents were , I believe but not confirmed John and Mary ,siblings were william b.@1821,Mary b.@ 1829,Elizabeth b.@1831,Francis b.@1833, Jane b.@1835. He married Joyce hicks of st.agnes, scilly isles in london in 1853 and came to australia that same year
