My father was born in Huntly, George Buchan DOB 15June1906. He had two older brothers, Alec (Alexander)and Albert. they lived for the most part at Cherrybrae, outside Newmill, near Keith. My grandparents were Alexander (Sandy) Buchan and Elizabeth Finnie. They were married 03Jul1897 in the Parish of Ythan Wells, Aberdeenshire. Elizabeth was the daughter of James Finnie & Elizabeth Hepburn, born 12Apr1868. Sandy was the son of John Buchan and Jane Grant. Do you have any further information on this family? It is such a common name I have been having a great deal of difficulty. |
