Trying to find Fitzgerald

Hi there. We are on the search for a connection with the McAleenan family. Our grandfather, Thomas Fitzgerald married a Mary Elizabeth McAleenan on 25th February 1941 at St. Wilfrid's Catholic Chapel, Preston, Lancashire. She was born in 1902 and married as a spinster at 39yrs old. They lived around the Preston area when first married and when our grandfather died in 1959. It seems she moved away from this area as in the BMD info, there is a Mary Fitzgerald who's death was registered at Liverpool in 1975 which we think could have been this lady. We are in hope that there could have been children from this marriage (although a slim chance given her age). But she must have had other relatives who may have known her or would know the background of this marriage and any stories relating to them. Be grateful for any info.
