I am trying to find info on my Great Grandmother and her family (mother/father/siblings etc)
She was born Emma Fone, she was born around 1874ish in i thought Bradpole. She married my Grt Grandfather Alfred William Gale bn about 1882 (he was her toy boy) bn in Dorset. Their children were..

I can't seem to find anyother info on Emma but i did find a Emma that was born 1875 but was born in HongKong and adopted, if anyone could shed any light on Emma or her family i will be so greatful,

Hmmm, the plot thickens haha, it could be her Jan but the year would be wrong but i did find an Emma Fone on the 1891 census aged 16, that would make her birth year about 1875 but it says she was born in HongKong as a British subject and was adopted,

Moonshine, she SAID she was 37 on the census. We don't know if it was true. Please buy the marriage certificate and come back with the details. I've found a tree on Ancestry which seems to have the one born 1871 in Stoke Abbott (which ties in with the 1911 census), with father John and mother Elizabeth.

The 1881 census does have her born 1874, it's the 1871 that is out.
