edit: heh, I think he's a double enumeration. Francis H. Bowden in the Coombe household is also a painter.

And note that daughter Florence is in the 1891 household I reproduced and in the 1901 household Heather reproduced, with father James in both. Francis/Frank joined the family business.

I checked out Francis G, Heather. He has a life of his own in 1901. ;)

Having Hills in Devon of my own, and having been amazed to discover, late in the game, that Ancestry could mistranscribe something as simple as Hill, I suspect Hele = Hill.

In this case, the GRO is typed, but Hele could be a contemporary mistranscription from the original record.

I'm particularly interested because one of my Hill mystery men is Francis Hoare Hill, baptized 1819 in Tamerton Foliott.

Trying to find Francis H Bowden born Exeter 1871 ish Married to Louisa Emily Coombe in 1898. His father is given as William Henry Bowden, Farmer.

Can't find any detials of either. Any help much appreciated.
