Frederick John or John Frederick Schultz

Who was Frederick John Schultz?

Apparently a tailor, possibly Germanic, living London from early 1890s, not found on any Census

Sons Frederick John 1892
Augustus 1894
both registered at Schultz

Daughters
Wilhemina 1896
Rosina Maude 1899-1904

BCs show father as Frederick John a tailor but he seems to have adopted the married surname of the children's mother Elizabeth who was widowed early 1892. Can't disclose name as family members still living may be upset by my enquiries.

Is this because of Germanic prejudice? Or even anti semitic feeling? I have been told Schultz is a Jewish surname and also one of the most common.

Frederick is given as deceased on his son Augustus' marriage cert 1920?

I am stuck.
