I would love to hear from anyone in the Fredrick family. There are not that many of us with this unusual spelling. Contact me on [email protected]

My great-grandmother was Sarah Ann Fredrick, born 1845 in Camborne, Cornwall. Her elder brother John moved to Hampton (Middx) as a railway engineer and she followed him. Do you think your family might belong to this line?
I agree that Fredrick is an unusual spelling and in fact my father was given his grandmother's surname and spelling as his second name. However, as I'm sure you know, spelling was very erratic in the nineteenth century and earlier, and our Fredricks may well have been Fredericks as well, depending on who was writing the name!
