Im having trouble finding out more info on my Grand Father - John Gallagher. Don't know much about him at all ! Apparently he was originally from Northern Ireland, born around 1900s (ish). There are rumours his parents re married so I have the names of Fox & Hudson re his 2 Mothers maiden names - one was a midwife. He moved to Dublin & married my Nan - Bridgette McShane (born 1900) They settled in Dublin town center (Tara St) had 5 children & moved to South East London, around the 1940s and had another child. Bridgette McShane was one of sixteen children (one of her sisters was Kitty McShane - who was an actress with her husband Arthur Lucan who played the role of her Mother on set - as OLD MOTHER REILLY.One of Nans brothers (Ronnie McShane) was a musician with the Chieftains. Anyone out there got any info?
