I beleive that they were very well known family from stevenage and operated as knackermen in Trinity Road, Old Town Stevenage. My grandfather is called Arthur Frederick Roy Gates and was born in 1925 and married a Betty Abbiss who was born in 1928 and had three children Jane, Alan and Ann. I beleive that his dads name was Arthur Jack Gates. Any information on the GATES family from Old Town Stevenage would be appriciated. A marriage date for Roy and Betty would also be appriciated??????? Thanks Donna
