Find Ancestors

I am trying to find Patricia Gavin, born in the Liverpool area in the mid 1940s. Was either adopted or fostered at the age of 3 0r 4 and may even have moved to Canada. Her birth mother's name was Margaret.

Not seeing a birth in that area then. What was the mother's maiden name?

Her mother's name was also Gavin. I am still trying to find out her exact date of birth. Was Patricia Lockett born in Liverpool?

Found a 1942 birth in Wolverhampton. Sending details by PM.

if you think it's her, you'd need to order the BC from www.gro.gov.uk costs £7. You can't get her dob elsewhere unless she appears on a shipping list which shows it. Or possibly a baptism somewhere.

I now have some more information about Patricia. Her name is Patricia Mary Gavin and she was born at Walton Hospital in Liverpool on 16 March 1947. She was brought up by her mother and grandmother until her adoption in June 1951. I only found out about her existence recently, but she is my older sister and I would so love to make contact with her.

I have now found out more about my sister Patricia. She was adopted by a couple who lived in Rhosllanerchrugog in Wales. Their names were Stephen and Olwen(?) Pemberton. Stephen was a medic at the coal mines. She changed her name to Gwenneth - again I am unsure of the spelling.

Just to say I have search FMP emigrations, and similar on Ancestry, and can't find her emigrating.

There's a Gwyneth P Say on 192 who is between 61-65 so the correct age range.

The one who married James W Phillips is over 65.

I like to think Gwyneth P Say might be the one with the P standing for Patricia.

Given her age, she is probably still alive. So the next port of call is Jean with Electoral Roll Look ups. For either Gwyneth Say or Gwyneth Phillips.

I can never find Jean's link. She's in my contacts. Can anyone else give us the link to pass to Paula?
