Member Since: May 2006 Posts: 54 Send Message	I have found that ancestors in my Collins line changed their names from Collins Gillam to Collins somewhere in the mid 1800's. Does anyone have a person/persons in their tree who carried the name Collins Gillam which was subsequently changed to Collins? What I'm trying to find out is why the name was changed, thereby being able to research further back. All responses would be much appreciated. Joan
