Trying to find Gilroy

Trying to find any information about Johnnie, Elizabeth and Susan Gilroy. They were all born in Ireland and moved to Liverpool area - probably in late 1880's. Their father was on the stage. He left the family and his wife died soon after. (parents names are unknown). Susan and Elizabeth were in Birkenhead Union School according to 1891 census. Elizabeth became a nun at a convent in Holywell. Susan married George Swanick. Johnnie was the older brother who went to America and came back for his sisters but was not allowed to take them with him. He told them he had a home for them in the States and would return but nothing was ever heard of him again. If anyone has any information about this family, please get in touch. |
