I am interested in finding out more about my great grandmother, Born Emma Grief on 11th November 1851 in shouldham, Norfolk. She married my great grandfather, William Porter on 30th October 1875 and they had 6 children: Arthur (1880) William (1883) Edward (1884) Florence (1886) Harry (1889) and Fred (24th June 1892) Fred was my grandfather. Emma died 4th February 1919. On her gravestone it does not say she is a widow, so I assume William outlived her. I know there are a lot of Porters still living around that area of Norfolk, but a dearth of Grief's (which is a far more unusual name, and therefore easier to research!) I would also like to know when William did die. Hope someone nout there can help. Hilary Porter
