Katherine Harris is/was my grandfathers sister she was born in Ermston in Manchester on 19th December 1916, she hadn't married in 1942 when my grandfather last saw her, any information would be very much appreciated,

Hi Denise,
He last saw her in Middlesbrough where she was brought up, but she was stationed in London in the ATS and went back to London, he never saw her again or had any contact, she may have been killed during the war, but as my grandfather was her next of kin he thought he would of been notified and he wasn't,

If she was killed during the war, she should be listed on the CWGC website - www.cwgc.org

Katherine was born 19th December 1916, grandad always told us Katherine was spelt with a K, hope this help's,

Can't see a definate death for her inbetween the years 1984-2005.

To search before then I would need to search quarter by quarter and would still be here in the morning doing so.

Not sure where to go from here though.

I've looked at CWGC and couldn't find a death for her during the war, however if she did marry after seeing your Grandfather then there's something we couldn't rule out.
