It's the kind I like, though, with a very precise date; one tends to think someone must have got it from parish records, and it could be found there for confirmation.

Hi Michelle -- the DOB seems to be from the 1851 census. Of course, that's not reliable -- but in this case, a birth in April/May 1792 would make a person 58 in 1851, which is extrapolated, e.g. by Ancestry, to a DOB of 1793, but that's only accurate for people born before the census date.
