my great grandfather ? john or Patrick Hennessy was a tailor in Dublin he made the officers dress coats for the British army around the mid 1860s,we think he lived in the Glassineven district of Dublin. we think he may have come to Liverpool, we know my grandfather was either born in Dublin and moved here or was born in Liverpool around 1880s, my father francis Hennessy was born in 1904 in Walton, my grandfather we believe worked as a tailor and instructor in the local workhouse. any information from either history of the workhouse or military would be gratefully received.
