His parents were : Nathaniel Blaksley c1863 &

I'm afraid this is probably his death, couldn't find any marriages so tried deaths instead

BLAKSLEY Herbert N 21 Billesdon.7a 20 2 1907

Hi Lindsay - think that may be the death of Nathaniels son - if it is he would have been 20 yrs old.

Hi Gillian

Surely Herbert Nathaniel Blaksley was Nathaniel's son. His birth was registered a/m/j 1886 ref 7a 240 at Leicester and the death of Herbert N Blaksley was registered a/m/j 1907 at Billesdon, Leics, aged 21, as Lindsay said. If this is correct, then he probably died before he married and had any descendants.

Found birth reg for Herbert Nathaniel

q2 1886 Blaksley Herbert Nathaniel Leicester Vol 7a pg 248

The death I found is probably therefore his as his death was reg. same quarter as birth 21 years apart.

I doubt there are any descendents of Herbert

ps Jeanette, on the index I looked at it definately looks like page 248 not 240
Thankyou Jeanette, you just beat me to it!

Hi Lindsay & Jeanette.

Thank you both so much for all your hard work tracing Nathaniel! Really appreciate it & hope you enjoyed it.

I agree, I doubt that Herbert had any decendents..but you never know!?

Herbert had a brother - Sidney, born in 1890, presumably in Billesdon?

Any ideas what happened to him? Is he is the 1901 census? Who did he marry etc?

Thanks again for all your help
Gill

Hi Gillian

Sydney Blaksley (spelt with a y) was registered j/f/m 1890 ref 7a 231 at Leicester. As I mentioned previously he was living with his family at 3 Laurel Road on the 1901 census. Unfortunately any marriage or death is not showing up on Ancestry search. Sorry could not help further.

Whilst searching for Sydney Blaksley couldn't find a marriage or a death, but whilst looking for his death came across this death, possibly Nathaniel senior, name mispelt?

Blakesley Nathaniel 59 Leicester Q4 1922 Vol 7a Page 217

PS Searched right through to 1929 for a marriage and up to 1922 for a death
