Trying to find gr grandfather John also known as Jack Hill. Married to Dorothy Lambert. Daughter named Betty. Any info gratefully received. Born around the time of 1901 census +/- 5 yrs.Born in London area

Hi..do you have Jack and Dorothy's marriage certificate..that will give you fathers' names and couple's ages so you can work out births.

Would this be the marriage?

John H Hill marriage Dorothy M Lambert Hackney Volume 1b page 1208.

freeBMD does have an example of each name born in Hackney, John H in 1892 and Dorothy M in 1894.
