My great great grandmother was Alice Holland, born 1821? and died 1869, daughter of Thomas Holland, quarryman . She married George Burton in 1858 one of her children was James Burton my great grandfather. I'm currently working through the birth certs of her children, and some were born in wedlock and some not.The one constant address throughout BMD certificates and various census is Thorn St Padiham, although I cannot find the street on any current map. I'm seeking more information on Alice and her family. Hope this is of help. |
