Looking for Hood(s) with connections with Ireland please. I should particularly like to make contact with any people who have knowledge of the Newtownstewart, Co. Tyrone connection around the late 1800's. My great-grandfather was Samuel Hood who had a brother, William who has been 'lost'. It was said that he went elsewhere, perhaps abroad, when his widowed mother moved to Belfast with Samuel to seek work. There may be a big connection on William's side so if anyone has any clues, please make contact! |
