Trying to find the birth certificate for Violet May Hopkins born in 1901, 1 month before the cenus in Cardiff, Glamorgan, Wales. Despite my best efforts I have been unable to trace.

Violet died aged 2 on 25/02/1903 - I hold the death certificate.

Parents were Edwin & Ethel Winfred Augusta Hopkins

Hi Jeffrey
It may well be that Violets birth wasn't registered.The law for birth registration didn't come in until 1911/12.However,most children were baptised back then, so you could try church records for the area.
