Trying to find Hunt

Am trying to trace my father's family. My father's name was Ernest Harry Hunt and he was born in Leicester in 1916. His father was Harry Hunt (mother Lilian Downs). They were married on 26th Dec 1914. Harry was born 1878 and his father was George Hunt, a shoe finisher by trade. Both Harry and Lilian also worked in the 'shoes'. My father was an only child but I seem to recall there was a young relative who lived with them for some years by the name of Sidney. Think my grandmother adopted him but he died young. Harry (my grandfather) must have had siblings as a cousin of my father's lived close to us in Marjorie Street, Leicester and he had at least two daughters. Would love to hear from anyone who has any information on the family. |
