Hi I am trying to find any information about my great-grandfather EDWARD JAMES. We think he was born in London around 1890, we know he moved to Bristol were he worked as a shipping clerk in Avonmouth and married ETHEL BROWN in late 1918. They had four children EDWARD J JAMES born 1918 ARTHUR FRANCIS JAMES born 1920 MARY JAMES and RONALD JAMES born 1924 Ethel died in 1924 and Edward remarried soon after but placed the children of his first marriage in a Bristol children's home (except MARY who went to her maternal grandmother MARY BROWN nee PRATT in Weston-Super-Mare) so we do not know what happened to him or his new family from that point, other than that he died during the 1930's possibly after falling down stairs. Any help about Edward or his family would be very much appreicated. Thanks |
