i would be interested to find any info about the James family who lived in pill area of newport, in the early 1900s to approx 1945 my gran was violet james , her dad was edgar james and mother alice james , this couple adopted violet when she was born , and brought her to newport, maybe they lived in cardiff in the early 1900s ,im not sure but thats where violet was born, im told there were connections to british dredging in newport, but havent found any info, thanks for any help julie |
