I am trying to find any ancestors and decendants of Bertha she was born sometime in 1885/6 in Salford and married William Edgerton Standsfield in 1912 they had three sons and one daughter and adopted another son. they were William(Bill),Bernard my father, James(Alf),Martha and Robbert(Bob adopted).I have a recollection of visiting possibly her mother in the late 1950's somewhere just off Oldfield road opposite Salford Royal Hospital the old lady was referred to as granny James by my father. Bertha ran a boardinghouse on Windsor Bridge opposite the Prince of Wales Feathers pub, for the artists who performed at the Salford Hipodrome in the 20's to 30's, I would be greatful of any info thanks
