My Gt. Gt. Grandfather Robert Jamieson was born in Scotland in 1790, according to his gravestone in N. Staffs. He was living in Brydekirk, nr. Annan, Dumfrieshire in the 1820's. He married Sarah ? and they had two children, Helen and William (my gt. grandfather). They had moved to N.Staffs by 1830, when Robert, sadly, died, followed soon after by Helen and Sarah. The family business in N. Staffs was making Millstones. I am anxious to trace Robert's ancestors and would be grateful for any help/suggestions. Bill (William) Jamieson. |
