I'm trying to trace relatives of an Alice Jarman who was born in 1883 in Gorse Hill, Wiltshire. Her parents were Thomas Jarman (b. approx 1853 in Street, Somerset) and Martha Jarman (b. approx 1851 in Bristol Glouces).
Other children/siblings were;
William - b. Bristol - 1878
Thomas - b. Bristol - 1879
George - b. Bristol - 1881
Frank - b. Gorse Hill - 1885
Beatrice - b. Gorse Hill - 1887
James - b. Gorse Hill - 1890
Hoping someone can help
Ian

Just fyi Ian -- posting a "nudge" in your old thread

http://genesreunited.co.uk/boards.asp?wci=thread&tk=492073

would have bumped it back to the top of the list.

You should delete it now so that there are not two threads about the same thing. It happens that different people run across threads with the same question, and duplicate the effort of helping to find answers.

If not, would you like it done?

If you PM me with an email address (get a handy, permanent, anonymous account at www.gmail.com for posting on the internet), I'll make the correction and include a note that you would like to have contact with family members.

It works! I've met several distant cousins through name corrections at Ancestry.

And if you go to

http://www.freebmd.org.uk

and search for

marriages
surname: Jarman
district: Swindon

you'll find at least a couple that appear to be of children in this household. Getting their marriage certs to learn their spouses' names could assist in finding descendants.

Hi there again! After getting your PMs, I searched baaaaack through "my threads" and found your thread.

So what you'd like me to do is fix the Jarmans at Ancestry. No prob ... here I go ...

Correction Detail:

For the rest, you're stuck ordering certificates -- you know you can do it on line:

http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/

If you create an account, you don't have to re-enter all your mailing details and credit card info each time.
