Hi. I am compiling my family tree and have found that my Great Grandfather was christened a Boston (Ezra William b .1892, d. 1939 Preston, Hertfordshire) but that his mother Minnie Boston married a William Jenkins and went on to have a number of children with him - all named Jenkins. Was William Jenkins Ezra's father? The 1901 census shows Ezra living with his grandparents (Minnie's parents) and not his mother so I would assume not. Minnie's sister Ada also married a Jenkins (George) after having a child out of wedlock (Charles Boston). This son also lived with his grand parents with Ezra. I would be grateful if there is anyone out there who has any information on the Jenkins/Boston families of Hertfordshire (primarily Preston, King's Walden, St. Paul's Walden, St. Ippollitts etc.) that can help me to piece the pieces together if they would get in touch it would be much appreciated. The Sharp family were also heavily linked in with the Boston/Jenkins families and Ezra Boston actually married a Sharp (my great grandmother Daisy). Many thanks, Natalie
