I've done alote of research on my johnson side. My grea great grandma was Lydia Jane Johnson (married challis) born 12 dec 1873. My johnson's are mainly from Ramsget Kent, and Claypole, Linc. I seem to be getting stuck as a very big female family or the people just don't appear on census. My grand has said (although not a proven fact) that some of the family emergrated to australia and swears that the austrialian cricketer Ian William Geddes Johnson was part of our johnson line, again not fact as just family talk, I would be greatful if anyone is studying johnson from kent/Linc that may have emergrated to australia if you have info to get in touch, many thanks dan |
