Find Ancestors

Hi,

I cannot find a death registration for Eli J Lilly born to Catherine Lilly (1838, don't know maiden name). He disappears from the census aswell in 1891 and then again in 1911??

Can anyone shed any light on this?! Thank you in advance!

The last census he appears in is 1901:

Household LILLY, Eli J 1865 36 M Keynsham Somersetshire

I know from looking at the birth register that he was born in Dec 1864. This is the last I can find of him and I cannot find a death for him?!

This is all I know about him. His family adopted my great grandfather.

Aha!!!!!!! On the 1891 census Catherine Lilly is a widow living next door to Ellen Chard a widow with two children, William H 1 year and Edward F 2 month.

I would like to find out if the lilly family have any decendants as I don't belive Catherine or Mary Anne did, my grandafther referred to them as Maiden Aunts and he lived with them for some time.

I am trying to piece together where my grandfather lived with them!

Also Mel, where did you find the 1891 census with them on?? I have not found this to date, would be really interested to view it, I could only find 1871, 81, 1901 and 1911 which puzzled me!

I have just ordered it in the hope it may give some details on ellen and her (possible) husband. Heres hoping its useful!

Josephine who did William H marry and when? As there is a marriage of William Harry in 1908.

On that 1891 census there is also a George Lilly living in the same street his children are at the top of the page and he is on the previous page with wife Elizabeth. He could be Richard's brother.
