To all Locks====== I have in my possession, 3 photos of Locks as follows=== One of 2 brothers in Military whites?? and topies with a spike on the top (one is a corporal) this photo was taken in ' The English Studio' by S Frankel probably round 1890 or so and is of one Henry Lock 1870--1950 and of Stephen Lock ,dates unkown,Both were brothers? The second is of a cousin (Lock) a lass named Dorothy, taken in 1920 when she was 20 yrs (b 1900). The third is of a lady in dress of the period and wide brimmed hat ,taken Nov 8th 1918. If these people fit in to your family tree or suchlike ,your more than welcome to have them. as they are not of my Locks (another line??) I cannot make use of them.In the bottom r/h corner of the photo of the 2 brothers is another name, possibly a partner and the first initial is E but the rest I'm unable to decypher. Someone may be able to do some sleuthing and find out where the studio was located etc. Happy hunting all. My address is Joe Potter 43 Port Elliot Rd Goolwa South Australia Australia 5214.

Hi
I do not think the photos are of our family but I am researching our family tree . My husbands grandfather James Thomas Lock 1886 had a brother whom we believe was called George and emigrated to Australia.
It is a miystery as yet where they orginated from although we know at one time granddad was in the army in India and at that time he was stationed at Newport Gwent. Just wondered if George may be part of your tree.
Thanks Carol Lock
