Still trying to find any links to my Macdonald family. George Macdonald b1795 Strathpeffer Fodderty Scotland married Jean(Jane) Mackay in Achscrabster 1820. In 1861 George and Jean lived in Leurery and had 10 children all born in Halkirk. One of their sons William Macdonald b 1830 married Helen Bain in Halkirk in 1854. In 1881 William and Helen lived in Janetstown and had six children. One of their sons Donald Macdonald b1862 at Leurery married Isabella Webster in Edinburgh in 1885. Donald was the custodian of Isle of Inchcolm when the Forth Bridge was being built and Isabella ran the Silver Sands Tea Rooms in Aberdour. Donald and Isabella had five children and they moved to Bankstown, Australia around 1912. One of their sons Donald Macdonald b 1890 Isle of Inchcolm married Isabella Walls-Armit b 1887Inverkeithing in 1913 at Bankstown,Australia. Donald and Isabella made many return trips to Scotland and had a connection with Aberdour School and the Aberdour Regatta during the 1960s. They had four children Donald, Elizabeth and twins Helen and William. William was my father. Any information would be gratefully received. I have some information and photos about the Webster and Armit family that I can share. Regards Karen.
