Are there any living descendants of a Major James Macdonald,(c.1710 -1769) 'sometime an officer of Marines' who was descended from the Macdonalds of Glencoe. He married c. 1734 Jemima Bennet in London, by whom he had 11 children. It appears only 3 of his children left issue i.e.

Sir John Macdonald of the East India Co. (1748-1824)
Jane Macdonald (1749-1833) who married firstly a Mr. MacKenzie with issue, secondly a Mr. Urquhart with issue, and thirdly James Christie without issue.
Jemima Macdonald (1753- after 1785) who married Isaac duBois with issue.

Does anyone know anything about this family or know descendants who may still be alive ?

Any information would be welcome.
