Trying to find anyone with the Madeley surname. It is not a common name and most of them stem from the same area in Shropshire, please contact me with anything at all. I have quite a few names already

Hi Cathrine,

My Grandmother is nee Madeley (Florence Helen) and her fathers family moved to Derbyshire in the mid 1800s to follow work for the railways, Her father was John Madeley, Coal Hewer, and he had two more children, Jack and Fred.

He was the only one of five children to get married, two other brothers and two other sisters, my grandmother is still alive and is the grand age of 92 with all her faculties. If you think there might be a link please get in touch.

Thanks Nicky

My grandmother's name was Theresa Jane Madeley (or Madely) before she married Harry Healey - she came from the Shropshire area - possibly Wem, but went to live in Birmingham where my grandfather was a toolmaker with Austin Motor Works. They had 7 children.
