Hi, I am trying to find my great grandfather, CHARLES Manning. His full name might have been Charles Benjamin Manning. He must have been born aroung 1855, or perhaps earlier, as my gran, Charlotte Emily Manning, was born in 1881. (I don't know whether or not she was the eldest child.) He immigrated to South Africa, apparently to be a station master on the railways in the Cape. He married Elizabeth ---------(?), I don't know whether this was before he left England or not. They had several children;Benjamin, arthur, Grace, George,Victor and Dorothy, known as 'Doll'. Does anyone recognise this family, please? Thanks! Carol.
