Hi could someone please help me find the parents for Ann Marchant. Born -1786 in South Malling,Sussex bap 26-6-1786.I have been informed she was a relative of the diarist Thomas Marchant and there is records of the family to be downloaded on Mid Sussex Roots but when i downloaded my laptop didnt recognise the file format! Really want to know who her parents and siblings are to enable me to go further with the family. |

Michelle, do you have a family tree program on your computer? If not that would probably be the reason you couldnt open the info. If it is in a gedcom format you need a tree program and you can download the PAF5 free from familysearch.org or indeed, why dont you buy a decent one like family treemaker 2006 for less than a tenner with a free 14 days sub to ancestry - from twr computing online. |

Thanks Heather for info re gedcom format. I will have a look at the download you suggested or maybe hint heavily at husband for a good family tree software for Christmas! |
