ERNEST MATTHEWS - circa 1879 I am looking for descendants of ERNEST MATTHEWS and FLORENCE MAUD WOODWARD, who were married at St Gabriel's Church, Bromley, London, on 20th December 1903. Ernest, a bachelor, was aged 24 and was employed as a 'Carman', living at 15 Storey Street, Islington, and his father was William Matthews, a Blacksmith. Florence, a spinster, was aged 22, living at 11 Morris Road, and her father was John Woodward, a Labourer. One of their witnesses was Susan Matthews, believed to be Ernest's sister. If you think this is your family and could possibly help me fill in some of Ernest's family history, I would be pleased to hear from you. Trina |
