This is an appeal to anyone with access to Guernsey records - the IGI goes some of the way, but there are some glaring ommissions which make further research impossible.

I am looking for the baptismal dates, the parents, and the parents' marriage date for Mr James Lihou Mauger and Mr Thomas de Jersey Mauger, born in St. Peter Port circa 1837 and 1838 respectively.

Ideally, I'd love to know when these two died as well - James disappears after the 1891 census, and Thomas after the 1901. Thomas Mauger was my grandad's Little Grandma's father, and was a St. PP lawyer for more than 50 years.

Any help given finding the baptismal dates for these two, and the names of their father would be most appreciated. I believe their mother was a Miss Charlotte de la Mare, born c. 1813 in St. PP, but the info on her is incredibly sketchy also - our family does preserve a silver spoon with her initials tho!
