	Mary (Annie?) McCuish from Harris was in Gibraltar as a maid and met and married a soldier, Hubert Galpin on March 27th, 1893. Her age is stated as 23 but I believe she was possibly only 20. Mary and Hubert had one child, Herbert in Gibraltar, and their subsequents children were born in India - Muriel, Edith, Maud, Helen, Roderick and Frederick. I am trying to trace Mary's parents and family in Harris, but keep getting confused -her father's name is John. Would love ot hear from anyone who can help - and save me all these grey hairs!!!
