I do not have much information to go on but I have been trying to trace my father's line - McGuinness my dad's father ( my grandfather) was called Ernie Charles and he died during World War II, as far as I am aware they lived in the London area, my grandfather's mother never married and had him out of wedlock apparently with a Canadian Mountie that was in England during World War I or around that time, she also had another son out of wedlock called Patrick. I do not have any other information. My Grandmother Voilet married my Grandad's brother Patrick(although I knew him as Jim) after his brother died in the War. All a bit confusing but you never know there may be someone out there that can help! Please
