trying to find Flora mcleod born about 1842 on Islay Argylshire She married a John Gowans on23/11/1863 at Largs Ayr. I have her marriage certificate and her parent were Danial McLeod andCatherine McEuan both deceased at time of her marriage have tried to go further back in her family with no success. In the 1891 Scotland census they lived at Sandholes Kilbarchan Renfrewshire.Their children at home were Alexander (16)Catherine(14) Hara (8) and James (11). James was my grandfather who married a Helen Binnie Hutchison. Any body out there give me any help tracing Flora's parents or other family. Thank you Janet |
