Trying to find Meerten

Am wondering if anyone can help me locate a census or school record from 1835-1845 of a George Sydney Meerten. He may have been sent to a boarding school in Wales shortly after his arrival from Demerara, Guyana were he was born in 1829. It was noted in a newspaper posting that the was accompanied by a Mr. Thomas Moss, Liverpool, banker and the ship sailed to England in 1835. He was only a wee boy. I do believe this Thomas Moss was the son of John Moss and I have the history of this family - they did business in Guyana and other Caribean countries. Any suggestions as to where I can look would be appreciated. Thanks. V.Davies. [email protected]
