Trying to find Mills

Hello, I am trying to trace back my grandfather's line on my mother's side of the family but am encountering difficulties. His name was Frank Mills and as far as I know he was born in Erith (Dartford) in Kent in approx. 1872. He died in 1927. It is possible that his parents divorced and I have heard that one of them was Irish (or Irish descent) and the other of Scottish descent, although I have no hard proof. I believe Frank had several siblings (which I have gleaned from Census) and to my knowledge they were called Thomas, George, Bertha, Richard and Arthur. There may have been other sisters, possibly one called Lavinia and one called Jane. Several of his brothers were lightermen on the River Thames. Frank was married to Alice Cox (nee Eley). Frank and Alice's children were: Bertha (my mother); Alice, Ivy, Henrietta, Agnes, Roland, Thomas (known as Dick) and Eddie. If anybody has any information at all that might help, I would be really delighted to hear from you. Many thanks, Chrissy
