Hi I'm trying to reseach the family of Annie Mitchell born 1848 in Liverpool...i think her parents were Alfred Mitchell - Shopkeeper and Ellen, i think her father Alfred had a Brother called Robert and Wife Alice, who went to Live in Bolton-le-sands Near Lancaster and ran a pub at Halton called the White Lion, Annie went to live with them when she was 14 years old, she married Thomas Worthington 20 years her senior and had five children Alfred Thomas 1867 Robert 1869 John !871 Alice 1872 Annie Mitchell Worthington 1875 We think that Mother Annie Mitchell die giving birth to Annie mitchell worthington as there is no sign of her on the 1881 census. Thomas brought up the first four children but little Annie is brought up else where, she is on the 1881/91 census as living at Torrisholme/Bare/Poulton, hope somebody can shed some light on this family regards angela |
