Hi Anyone who has MONKS in their family, LIVERPOOL / EVERTON area (at a guess), was just wondering if you have any SAILORS in your family or the surname KELLY. Or even Kelly family and Monks family lived on the same street? I have only just started to research my late Nan's family. My Nan didn't talk about her family much. Now we are trying to piece her family together from elderly family members. They always spoke of Nan's father being a Monks, he was a sailor, we don't know his first name. Her mother was Edith Kelly. My Nan were born in W. Derby, Everton 1915. As her parents weren't married, we think she was registered as a Kelly and she lived in Liverpool for part of her childhood.
