He was the son of James Murphy dob 1863 and Margaret Murphy nee Sullivan.Margaret died 1902 James re married 1904 .living in Price Street, Birkenhead. Cannot find what happened to John. James was my great uncle. Many thanks Kathleen

Member Since: March 2004 Posts: 2 Send Message	Hi Kathleen, my Grandfather was John Murphy born 1890. His fathers name was James. I presume my grandfather was born in Birkenhead as this is where he was married. I cannot find any trace of him though on 1901 census.I have found a John Murphy on the 1891 census,but turned out it wasn't him as his fathers name is also shown as John. I wondered if perhaps my Grandfather is the John you are looking for.
