I'd be grateful for an y information regarding the forbears of JOHN NEWSON born in 1822, presumably in Shoreditch ( or there-abouts) London He married Elizabeth Houseman, born 1821 at St.Lukes Parish, Shoreditch. Died 1866. The marriage took place at St Brides Parish. They had a son (Charles) in 1844 born in Bishopsgate, London. The son married Martha Benjamin circa 1870 and they had several children. Edward. Minnie, David, James and Charles

hi joan,

my late husband was ronald lionel newson he was born in shorditch april 1936. His father was edward charles and his mother was annie louisa formerly bowen. they live at 35, archer house phillipe street shorditch. during the war billingsgate market where charles worked was mooved to watford where they lived the rest of there lives.
